Brad Pitt has revealed his recent discovery on how unpopular Americans are across the globe. We could have told you that. The actor said that while he was shooting “Ocean’s Twelve” in Amsterdam a group of drunk Dutchmen threatened to kill him because of his nationality.
Pitt revealed how shocked he was with this incident. "I get a bike wherever I go and I went for a midnight ride around Amsterdam. There were some guys coming out of a bar having a good time. I said, 'Excuse me,' and swerved out of the way and they started screaming, 'You f**king American. We'll f**king kill you.' "I'd never come face to face with that before, that turn in the way we are perceived in other countries."
Meanwhile Pitt also revealed how relieved he was to shoot his latest flick Babel in the Moroccan desert, because no-one knew who he was. For a short time, this Hollywood star was able to shed his A-list status in a community without TVs or movie theatres, newspapers and magazines.
The star says, "They hadn't a clue. We'd had to drive an hour to get to this little village in the middle of what looked like a lunar landscape. They had no electricity, so we ran a line for the film, and were able to leave it there afterwards so they could have things like lights at night, which I thought was nice."
