Brad Pitt is speaking out against the executives responsible for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. He gives commentary on a new documentary by Spike Lee called If God is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise, which is about the effects of Hurricane Katrina on the city of New Orleans.
The city became 80 percent waterlogged after the storm, and now residents are having to deal with this new catastrophe in the Gulf. The documentary originally ended on a positive note, documenting how the Saints won the Super Bowl. But now that the oil spill has happened, Lee decided to extend the footage on to include that.
He said, “This would have been a much more upbeat documentary for sure.”
Of the people responsible for the disaster, Pitt says, “I was never for the death penalty before – I am willing to look at it again.”
The documentary airs on HBO tonight—sounds like this is a must-see!
What do you think of Pitt’s views on the people responsible for this massive disaster?
