Brad Pitt is sick and tired of the mother of his children getting a bad rep and being labeled a "homewrecker," and he's talking to W magazine about his frustration.
Angelina Jolie made headlines a few months ago when she confirmed the world's worst kept secret--that her and Brad started their love affair while filming
Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Only problem is, Brad was still married to
Jennifer Aniston at the time. She thought it was "uncool."
"What people don't understand is that we filmed ['Mr. & Mrs. Smith'] for a year. We were still filming after Jen [Aniston] and I split up," Brad tells W in the annual "A-List" February issue.
"Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't. I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful."
Someone should really tell Brad that there really is no such thing as a "respectful" affair. Jenn would probably agree with us on that one. She famously slammed Angie in the November issue of
Vogue magazine saying, "What Angelina did was very uncool."
Still trying to clear the air, Brad continued, "Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It's so created," he claims.
"We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don't see how there cannot be [that]. That's life, man. That's life."
Will the Brad/Angie/Jenn love affair scandal ever get old? Probably not. Will Angie always be looked up as a homewrecker? Probably. The affair started in 04 and Brad and Jenn called it quits in 05. It’s a new year and we're still hung up on Hollywood’s Golden couple breaking up. Are you?
