Ridiculously rich Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are spending their money on something worthwhile—the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The organization will aid tornado relief efforts in Joplin, Missouri.
Pitt’s home state has still been recovering from the wreckage of mother nature. Pitt said in a statement,
“With the devastating loss of thirty percent of the city, the Joplin community faces great challenges ahead. Having spent much of my childhood there, I know these people to be hardworking, humble and especially resilient. The locally based Community Foundation of the Ozarks will be working shoulder to shoulder with these Joplin residents for the long haul as they rebuild their lives. We, too, hope to further help with these rebuilding efforts.”
Wife Angelina Jolie added,
“Our heats go out to the families of Joplin who have lost so much.”
The couple is, of course, known for their charitable acts, especially with Jolie’s title as Goodwill Ambassador.
Jolie has recently signed on for a sequel to Salt, repsrising her role as Evelyn Salt.
“Particularly with this character, I think there is so much yet to explore in her life with her — with her family, with coming to terms with who she is in the end, because of the way it’s set up, she could be anybody,” Jolie said.
“As an actress, and somebody who loves to travel, it would be nice to be able to explore the world with her.”
And the money, of course. The money is good, too.
