Boy George's Desperate Plea

Boy George is so desperate to get back in the states, he's offered to clean the streets of New York again, if U.S. authorities let him enter the country to perform.

BG had to cancel eight US performances after he was denied a visa. He had previously made headlines for allegedly assaulting a male escort in the UK, and falsely reporting a burglary and possession of drugs.

Speaking on The Today Show, he said, "If you let me in I'll take the broom, no problem. Everyone says it should be a humiliating experience. Does that mean the people who sweep are humiliated? I thought it was a good experience."

He added, "It's not over. It's not like I'm going to have to continue my career via satellite! I will come back. If I have to wait, it'll be even better."

We say let him back in! Seeing him in full-blown Boy George makeup cleaning the streets of NY sounds like an even trade.
