Bow Wow may be best known for his lyrical raps, but the singer turned actor is actually focusing his energy on acting--because he believes he has a better chance of winning an Oscar than a Grammy.

He says, "I think I have a better chance at getting an Oscar before a Grammy. The music industry is so fickle, there's so many politics. I think a lot of people don't pay attention to the credits or the artistry no more.

"I think there's so much concern about what's going on right now instead of the actual artistry. But that's how the record business is. But for acting, I got that covered."

It doesn't matter if its movies or music--the entertainment industry is rough! Getting recognition for your work can take a lifetime, but at least they have the big paychecks in the meanwhile.

Do you agree with Bow Wow's views on the music industry? Are you a bigger fan of Bow Wow the actor or singer?

More and more people are coming out of the woodwork and not necessarily siding with Chris Brown per se, but they’re definitely keeping an open mind on the incident that happened three weeks ago.

When colleagues such as Bow Wow and Kanye West each made statements asking for the public, and the media to give Chris a break, we were all pretty shocked.

But now that Rihanna herself is reportedly trying to make amends with Chris, we we’re wondering if there’s a lot more to the story than meets the eye.

The latest celebrity to weigh in on the situation is Mekhi Phifer, who was Chris’ co-star in the 2007 movie This Christmas. Mekhi thinks Brown’s age, 19, plays a big factor into what occurred between him and Rihanna.

He tells E! News, “People make mistakes—and while I don’t condone what happened that night, you know, what Chris did to her—I remember being young, 19, and at that age it seemed like everything was so over-the-top, and everyone’s so passionate about things at the age.”

Mekhi also thinks the incident will heavily affect both of their careers. He says, “I think this whole thing will affect him, and I think it will affect her. With both of them, their fan base is mainly women and kids, so I don’t know what kind of example that leads, but like I said, I wish them all the best.”

Well it definitely sounds like he’s staying neutral! We agree 100% on the age thing. It’s a fact. People do stupid things when they’re young.

Hopefully Chris and Rihanna made a little headway while in Miami this weekend.

While the whole world is busy thinking 'Poor Rihanna,' rapper Bow Wow is jumping to pal Chris Brown's defense, insisting he'll bounce back.

Bow wow is convinced that Chris' recent arrest for allegedly assaulting girlfriend Rihanna won't hurt his career and he'll be able to bounce back and get all his endorsement deals back in no time.

He tells MTV.com, "I just want people to know that as entertainers, our job is to entertain. We're not perfect. We put our pants on the same way everybody else puts their pants on.

"I always like to put myself in people's shoes. I understand probably what he's going through by the whole world knowing what happened."

Meanwhile, the DA's office will most likely postpone Chris' court date, which was originally scheduled on March 5th, in order to gather up more evidence.

Although Chris was arrested and released on $50,000 bail on February 8th, so far, no charges of any sort have been filed against him.

He was booked by police for making criminal threats – a felony – but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

What are your thoughts? Do you think this incident has or will affect his career in the long run?
