Bruce Springsteen followed Keys with a rendition of his song We Shall Overcome; Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock and Keith Urban sang Lean on Me; Madonna performed Like A Prayer; Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris covered Leonard Cohen classic Hallelujah and Jennifer Hudson belted out Let it Be.
Other performers included Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Coldplay and Taylor Swift. Between performances, stars including Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson, Nicole Kidman and Matt Damon shared the stories of just some of the earthquake's victims.
Speaking to MTV after the event, Clooney said, "I hope we made some money out of this. The only way to make this a success is to make a considerable amount of money."
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were in the same building at the same time, but they reportedly avoided each others paths.

Bono, who has an estimated net worth of almost $700 million, says he donates as much money as he can to charity because he thinks he makes more than he deserves.
Speaking at the launch of Nike's 'Lace Up, Save Lives' campaign, which aims to raise awareness and funds for the (Red) charity, Bono said: "I am very well paid, overpaid and even over-rewarded for what I do."
The charity event was attended by a number of football stars and Bono added: "These guys are very wealthy. But a lot of these soccer guys are giving something back and they don't need to do that."
Bono has donated millions of dollars to various charity campaigns throughout the year so he's truly an inspiration.
Throughout his career he's received 3 nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize, and was even knighted in 2007! If only there were more celebrities like you Bono--the world would truly be a better place!

According to a poll conducted by both GreenDaily and Bebo.com, Leonardo DiCaprio beats out the competition on the men’s’ side, while Oprah is on top for the women.
Leo beat out other green celebs like Bono and Ed Begley Jr. Oprah came out on top above Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The least environmentally friendly celeb is Mariah Carey, who is known to fly her personal trainer all the way from the Caribbean to NY just for a work out!
And John Travolta isn’t much better. He flies his personal plane all around the world, generating an average of 800 tons of carbon emissions. He could take a lesson from Ed Begley!
We have to give him the most credit out of anyone. Who else peddles their bicycle just to toast bread in the morning? We could learn a thing or two from these green celebs!

Topping the list unsurprisingly is Barack Obama, but he’s followed by a few celebrities that may take you by surprise, like Kanye West and Tina Fey.
So how did Rolling Stone come up with their list? They say, “We've ranked 100 artists and leaders, policymakers, writers, thinkers, scientists and provocateurs who are fighting every day to show us what is possible — whether it's engineering a new electrical grid, reinventing the way movies are made or challenging us to let go of our illusions and face the brave new world that stands before us.”
They say with Obama’s election, “change is no longer a dreamy notion but a reality — and a responsibility.” Perhaps that’s why he takes the top spot.
Tina Fey, who takes the #8 spot, is honored for her “new age feminism” and “self-deprecating, gimlet-eyed humor.” We’ll take that humor any day of the week, and she’s definitely become the one to watch ever since her Sarah Palin impressions.
As for Kanye, he came in at #7, noting his creativity in the “moribund world of commercial hip-hop.”
Unsurprisingly, Bono is a frontrunner at #4. Rolling Stone claims he’s changing the entire world. They say, "Bono's tireless lobbying of the likes of George W. Bush and Tony Blair helped lead to billions in debt relief and additional aid to Africa — and it feels like he's just getting started.
He followed that with Red Campaign, which fuses commerce and charity, and Edun, his wife's African-made clothing line. All that, and U2 are still making some of their best music with the new No Line on the Horizon.”
But no one beats Obama! It’s great to see that people still have the same kind of excitement about him that they did before he was elected. He has proven in his early days in office that he’s committed to change, so that’s what earns him the top spot on the list!

Yesterday, stars like Beyonce, Bono, Bruce Springsteen helped pump the very large crowd with a special performance in front of the Lincoln Memorial during the “We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration At The Lincoln Memorial” in Washington, D.C.
President Elect spoke to the thousands standing outside and once again gave the people of America some hope saying, “Welcome to this celebration of American renewal. In the course of our history, only a handful of generations have been asked to confront challenges as serious as the ones we face right now. I stand here today as hopeful as ever that the United States of America will endure. That it will prevail; that the dream of our founders will live on in our time!”
This week is probably gonna be the last week Obama parties for a really long time because it's no secret that he has a lot of challenges once he hits the White House. Do you think he will deliver change?
