Bobby Brown has just been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles. Dude, I know LA is laid back and all, but it was barely noon on a Monday. Come on!
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Bobby was pulled over in Reseda, California at 12:20 PST for allegedly driving while talking on his cell phone. Which, if you live in LA, you know is frowned upon even more than DUI. What’s got two thumbs and once got a $300 ticket for turning off her phone while stopped at a red light? Yup. This gal.
Sources say Brown was in custody in a Van Nuys jail. TMZ reports: “It's unclear what substance cops believe Brown had been using before he got behind the wheel.”
Since the arrest, Bobby has already been bailed out of jail. He already has a DUI conviction on his record, stemming from a 1996 arrest in Georgia. He eventually pled guilty to DUI and served a whopping 8 days in jail.
Brown has been in headlines ever since his ex, Whitney Houston's tragic death in Beverly Hills on February 11. He reportedly tried to visit the death scene, but was turned away. And after he got into a disagreement with Houston’s family during her funeral service, he left early.
Meanwhile, Brown’s sister, Leolah Brown, is blaming Whitney’s boyfriend, Ray J, for the singer’s death. She claims to have seen Ray J fleeing Houston’s hotel room on the night of her death, hiding her face.
"I saw Ray J coming out of the hotel, hiding his head, being pushed into a car. He’s always trying to show his face around Whitney. Why now? Why are you trying to hide Ray J?”
