Bobbi Kristina sat down with Oprah this weekend for an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter and gave a very revealing interview about her mother, Whitney Houston.
Bobbi talks her own plans to get into the music biz. “I have to carry on the legacy,” says Bobbi, “We’re gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing.”
A lot of us didn’t know that Bobbi Kristina was planning on making a music career, but the music diva’s daughter says, “[Whitney] prepared me for it,” but adds, “It’s a lot of pressure.”
Bobbi also reveals that even though her mom is gone, she still talks to her.
“I can sing her music, but to hear it now, I can’t. I can hear her voice telling me, ‘Keep moving, baby. I got you,’” says Bobbi, “She’s always with me. I can always feel her with me. She used to always says, ‘Do you need me?’ and I said, ‘I always need you.’”
Bobbi tells Oprah, “I feel her pass through me all the time. I wake up at night,” she says, “She would say at 5am the saints start praying. I wake up now and look at the clock and it’s 5 o’clock. I start praying.”
Bobbi admits she’s not scared by it and says she likes staying in her late mother’s Atlanta home, “Lights turn on and off and I’m like, ‘Mom, what are you doing?” Brown, “I can still laugh with her and still talk to her.”
Bobbi also says that her mother’s funeral was the first time she realized her mom was a star and had such a huge impact on the world.
“I just saw her as mom. The first time I saw her as a worldwide icon was when we went on tour, and the funeral, she made an impact not only on a few people. She made an impact on the world.”
