Blue Ivy Carter. biography
Blue Ivy Carter was born on January 7, 2012, in New York, New York to Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Best known for being born, Blue Ivy made her celebrity debut when Beyoncé flashed her baby bump while performing at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Her stardom reached new heights when she took her first breathe of air at New York City's Lennox Hill Hospital in January 2012.
Blue Ivy was born into a musical family and has already developed her dancing skills despite only being 1-years-old. In a 2013 interview with Super Bowl Live, Beyoncé credited Blue Ivy with mastering her "Single Ladies" dance, claiming, "The song was on the Chipmunks series and all of the kids are like, 'Oh, that's the Chipmunk song!'… My daughter actually does [the famous hand movement] and sings, 'Uh oh.'"
Following the birth of Blue Ivy, hell broke loose online as people put their work aside and rabidly searched for her name's meaning as if the parents were hiding it from them. There have been many scientific studies and many conclusions, but the most believable seems to be the significance of the number 4 and the color blue. Jay-Z used the color blue for inspiration on his album The Blueprint while the word Ivy can possibly represent the numeral IV, which stands for four and can be pronounced as 'Ivy.' The number four can also be found throughout Jay-Z and Beyoncé's lives, including Beyoncé's hit album 4, Beyoncé's birthday (4 September 1981), Jay-Z's birthday (4 December 1969) and their wedding date (4 April 2008).
Blue Ivy's most recent projects include, making scheduled celebrity appearances worldwide on planes, yachts, or any other type of transportation that screams, "I can't talk yet, but I'm important damnit!"
