Jessica Simpson’s popularity may be dying down in the U.S. but she doesn’t really need to worry because the Ukrainians love her.
If y’all remember, Jessica’s movie Blonde Ambition crashed and burned in the states but it was #1 when it was released in the Ukraine.
Film producer Alex Shpiluk says, "She is really the ideal of American beauty and style, like Barbie. She would be useful to us and our image."
The Ukrainians even want Jessica to visit their country.
Arama Gevorcyan, a Ukrainian film producer is personally inviting Jessica to the 80th anniversary celebration of the largest Ukrainian film studio, Dovzhenko. ?"We would love for Jessica Simpson to come to this celebration... We will pay for it!"
There you have it folks! You might be sick of her in the states, but the Ukrainians love her!

It's almost like those shirts that say, "I'm Huge In Japan." Jessica Simpson's latest movie, Blonde Ambition, is the number one flick in the Ukraine, grossing just $253,008 for this past weekend, according to Box Office Mojo.
Just a reminder, back in the states, the movie had a run in eight Texas theaters, grossing just $1,771 in its opening weekend. The Box Office Mojo editor in chief says "The former Soviet nations have a sweet tooth for straight-up comedies. When these comedies have big name celebrities like Jessica Simpson's, that's all that's needed to sell the movie. Russian and Ukrainian audiences have an even bigger urge for escapism than Americans." Escapism. Riiiiiiight.

Jessica Simpson may have set a record at the box office, but not in a good way. Her latest film, 'Blonde Ambition' brought in just about $1,190 over the weekend.
Sure the movie was only being shown in eight theaters in Texas, but that breaks down to about $50 a theater. Isn't she supposed to be popular in Texas? Don't feel too bad for her though, she probably spent more than that on retail therapy over the weekend.

Jessica Simpson's movie career has just gone from bad to worse. Jessica Simpson's latest movie 'Blonde Ambition' is going to straight to DVD.
The movie is set to be released on January 22 .
"The movie is absolutely horrible," a source has said. "It’s just a bomb, mainly because of Jessica’s acting."
"It's definitely a theatrical release," Simpson's rep has said.
This is just really bad. If she wants to be taken seriously as an actress she has to pick and choose her roles.
