Black Swan

The most lol-worthy moment from the article was when Lindsay said she “took ballet until she was 19 and was indignant that she was not considered for the movie ‘Black Swan.’
I can think of a laundry list of reasons why Lindsay Lohan was not considered for a part in “Black Swan...

Natalie's body double/ballerina Sarah Lane claims she did 95% of the dancing in the movie but only got "Lady in the Lane" credit on IMDB.
After Natalie's fiancé, Ben Millepied, who was the choreographer for the movie told the Los Angeles Times that "85 percent of that movie was Natalie [dancing]", Lane told Entertainment Weekly, "On the full body shots, I would say 5 percent are Natalie. I mean, from a professional dancer's standpoint, she doesn't look like a professional ballet dancer at all and she can't dance in pointe shoes. And she can't move her body, she's very stiff."
And now Fox Searchlight Pictures is defending Natalie. They released a statement saying:
"We were fortunate to have Sarah there to cover the more complicated dance sequences and we have nothing but praise for the hard work she did," the studio said. "However, Natalie herself did most of the dancing featured in the film."
Regardless of who did what percentage of the dancing, there's no denying that Natalie's performance was amazing in the movie. She went from hot to cold in a split second and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie. What are your thoughts on the scandal?

Because according to professional ballerina Sarah Lane, "[Producers] were trying to create this façade that she had become a ballerina in a year and a half."
Lane was Portman's "dancing double" in the movie, and the special effects team used face replacement to make it look as though Portman was doing all the dancing. Turns out the only thing she was dancing around was the issue of how hard she worked on the movie."
Lane reveals in an interview that Fox Searchlight prohibited her from talking to the press until after the Oscars.
Not to say that Natalie didn't still wow audiences with her acting, and I assume everyone knows Hollywood is 90% smoke and mirrors (just look at any recent magazine cover with Britney Spears on it). But perpetrating a rumor for an Oscar win is low.
Despite the fact that she wasn't credited on IMDB for being a double and Natalie Portman left her out of her acceptance speech, Lane keeps a positive attitude.
“It was a great experience to see the whole process of making a movie."
Next thing you know, we're going to find out Sarah is the one who's really pregnant.

Natalie, who "hyper-trained" for six months for the extremely physical role, is getting a ton of Oscar buzz for her role!
And there's something for everyone in the movie, including the fellas! Natalie shares a steamy lesbian love scene in the movie with actress Mila Kunis. Oooh sexy!
The director, Darren Aronofsky, "talked to me about this [sex] scene in our first meeting eight years ago," Portman told reporters in Venice, according to Reuters.
"He described it as: 'You're going to have a sex scene with yourself.' And I thought that was very interesting, because this movie is in so many ways an exploration of an artist's ego and that narcissistic sort of attraction to yourself and also repulsion with yourself."
If you haven't had a chance to check out the trailer for the movie, you're missing out! It's definitely going to be one of the frontrunners at the Oscars. Check out the trailer below...

Fox Searchlight has released the first teaser trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming Black Swan. We say disturbing only because we don't wanna envision ballerinas in such a dark way.
Darren Aronosfsky is the king of dark films. He's the one that brought us Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler, which are not the happiest movies out there.
The Black Swan hits theatres December 1, 2010. In the meanwhile, you can watch the trailer after the jump.
