Just like Twitter’s got "Follow Friday," we’ve got "Birthday Friday" and a few oldie-but-goodies who are turning 80 today! Wuddup Medicare!
Ace Frehley: Ace turns 60 today! He was best known as the original lead guitarist for the rock band KISS. His stage persona with the band was “Spaceman” or “Space Ave.” He left the band once in 1982 and then temporarily teamed back up with them in 1996 for their reunion tour. Fun Fact: Well, it’s really a not-so-fun fact, in 2007 Ace was the subject of a death hoax. The internet claimed he committed suicide. Fact: He’s not dead, just 60!
Nigel Barker: Former "America’s Next Top Model" judge and photographer Nigel Barker turns 40 today, but I don’t know if he plans on celebrating because Tyra Banks just announced that she fired him from ANTM. Ouch.
Zachary Woodle: You might not recognize his name, unless you’re a GLEEK. Yup, Woodle is the primary choreographer for Glee and turns 35 today. He’s responsible for Artie’s sick wheelchair spins and all that Cheerios cheerleader choreo. He was also a back-up dancer for Madonna in her 2004 Re-Invention tour.
Casey Kasem: Kasem turns 80 today! He’s most known for his radio personality and voicing the character of Shaggy in the “Scooby Doo” franchise. He retired the Shaggy voice in 2009 and a year later started doing the voice of Shaggy’s father in the 2010 series, “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.”
Anouk Aimee: Also turning 80 today is French film actress Anouk Aimee. She was kind of like the Melanie Laurent or Marion Cotillard of her day. She starred in many great French flicks, but it was her role in 1967’s “A Man and a Woman” that gained her international fame and a Golden Globe win and an Oscar nomination.
