Born Bryan Williams on February 15, 1969, in New Orleans, Louisiana, rapper Birdman commenced his career in the music industry by forming the duo Big Tymers with his friend and producer DJ Mannie Fresh in 1997.
The duo quickly gained popularity in part of their debut album How Ya Luv That and its lead single "#1 Stunna" dominating the airwaves in addition to their follow-up albums I Got That Work (2000) and Hood Rich (2002) with the latter producing the Grammy-nominated single "Still Fly."
After releasing their next album Big Money Heavyweight in 2003, the duo broke up, leading Birdman to collaborate with his protégé Lil Wayne and release their album Like Father, Like Son (2005). Birdman then dropped his third studio album 5 * Stunna (2007) with its hit singles "Pop Bottles" and "I Run This" further increasing his presence in the rap game.
In November 2009, Birdman released his fourth studio album Pricele$$, which spawned the top charting singles "Always Strapped," "Money to Blow" and "Written on Her." The following year, he dropped his mixtape Uptown Veteran (2012).
Birdman is currently set to release his fifth studio album Bigga Than Life in September 2013 as well as his follow-up collaboration with Lil Wayne, titled Like Father, Like Son 2: Tha Last MOB sometime that same year.
