Billy Bob Thornton’s daughter has been released on $279,000 bail. According to the
Orlando Sentinel 29-year-old Amanda Brunfield was released Friday from an Orange County, Florida jail pending her first-degree murder charges.
Brumfield was arrested in May after authorities decided that her story didn’t quite add up. She had been babysitting for a 1-year old girl back in October. The girl ended up dying from what looks like a head injury, and Amanda is the number one suspect.
Brumfield alleges Garcia received the injury falling from her playpen, but investigators and a medical examiner say they suspect the young girl died as a result of a homicide.
In addition to murder charges, Brumfield also faces charges of aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter. Her trial is expected to begin in December.
This is such a sad story. We sincerely hope that Amanda is telling the truth and that she was not involved in such a horrific thing as the death of a baby.
