Billy Bob Thornton’s daughter has been released on $279,000 bail. According to the Orlando Sentinel 29-year-old Amanda Brunfield was released Friday from an Orange County, Florida jail pending her first-degree murder charges.

Brumfield was arrested in May after authorities decided that her story didn’t quite add up. She had been babysitting for a 1-year old girl back in October. The girl ended up dying from what looks like a head injury, and Amanda is the number one suspect.

Billy Bob Thornton's daughter Amanda Brumfield has been charged with first-degree murder.

Brumfield is being charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter charges following the death of a one-year-old girl she was baby-sitting in Florida last October.

Billy Bob Thornton’s eldest daughter has been arrested on charges of child abuse after the 1-year old little girl she was babysitting died.

Amanda Brumfield was taken into custody on Friday night after detectives on the case believed her story didn’t seem quite right.
