What Did Oprah Give Beyonce’s Baby, Blue Ivy Carter?

Blue Ivy Carter is not even five days old, and she’s already 1) laid down vocals on a Jay-Z track; and 2) gotten some free swag from none other than Oprah. And to think, some of us spent years trying to get on the ‘Favorite things’ show.

'The Insider' has learned that Oprah sent Beyonce’s baby, Blue Ivy, a trunk full of children’s books as a 'welcome to the world' gift. Appropriate, considering Oprah is a huge proponent for education, but still not quite as cool as those sequined UGG boots featured on her 2010 Favorite Things show. I really wanted to get in on that show, dammit.

One up-side to the excruciating pain of childbirth is--you usually get a ton of gifts afterward. Oh and there’s creating a life and all that crap, too. But mostly, this is about the gifts. Here are 5 celebs and the awesome gifts they got after giving birth.

Katie Holmes: Diamond earrings: Tom Cruise reportedly gave Katie a pair of pink and white diamond earrings when Suri was born. ‘Thanks for the whole destroying your body thing. Here's some jewelry!’

Mariah Carey: Giant giraffe: Sharon Osbourne gave Mariah Carey a five-feet tall Melissa & Doug Oversized Giraffe plush toy when she gave birth to her twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

Alyssa Milano: Personalized necklace: I didn’t even know these two were friends, but apparently, singer Jewel gave Alyssa Milano a special gift when her son was born. Jewel had a 14k Gold-Fill necklace personalized with the name “Milo” on it—Alyssa’s son’s name.

Sandra Bullock: Andy Warhol paintings: Sandra Bullock’s agents bought her son, Louis, $14,000 worth of Andy Warhol art when he turned one. Not to be rude, but the kid poops in his pants. Not sure that kind of behavior screams ‘art connoisseur.’

Selma Blair: Skincare products: When Selma Blair welcomed her son Arthur into the world, pal Ali Landry said, ‘here, honey, you need to do something about your face.’ Okay, not really. But she did get Blair a set of Basq’s pampering skin care products that are specially made for new moms and babies.
