Long Live Queen B! If you, like us, were referring to Sunday’s football game as the “Beyonce Show,” this post is for you.
Beyonce put every other Super Bowl halftime show in the history of Super Bowl’s to shame with her incredible 15 minute spectacular.
Beyonce opens the show amid pyrotechnics and deafening screams and then breezed through the highest energy renditions of some of her greatest hits including “Love on Top,” “Crazy in Love,” “End of time,” and “Baby Boy” and then, just when you were wondering WHAT WILL BEYONCE DO NEXT, her old Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams are shot out of the ground and onto the stage.
They literally popped out of the ground and it was incredible. They joined Bey for “Independent Women” and even took a couple verses on “Single Ladies.” Side note: Nobody gives Kelly Rowland enough credit for being TOTALLY fierce!
Everything about this show proved that Beyonce is the greatest living diva still performing today. Her show made Madonna’s halftime show last year look like a geriatric talent show. Yeah! We said it!
Also, in case anyone was still irked or cared about the lip-syncing scandal, it’s clear we’re ALL over it.
Michelle Obama tweeted during the Super Bowl performance, “Watching the #SuperBowl with family & friends. @Beyonce was phenomenal! I am so proud of her!”
And even though Kelly Clarkson sang live at the inauguration and we sensed some semi-shade from Kel, she also had nothing but awe and love for Beyonce yesterday.
“The force and power that is Beyonce just shut the Super Bowl down ha! Too funny!” Kelly tweeted. She’s of course, referring to the power outage after Beyonce’s performance because Beyonce literally SHUTS IT DOWN!
Watch Beyonce prove to America why she is in fact, Queen B!
