Stars Give Beyonce Parenting Advice at People’s Choice Awards 2012

New moms need all the advice they can get: Keep extra diapers on hand, trust your instincts, don’t set your baby down on the roof of your car like a cup of coffee…the list goes on.

At the People’s Choice Awards 2012, Hollyscoop caught up with some red carpet A-listers to talk about the big buzz this week--Beyonce's new baby. And celebs had plenty of advice to share with the new mom.

Alyson Hannigan told Hollyscoop she has one word of advice for Beyonce and Jay-Z:

“Sleep.”

Hannigan is expecting baby number two, and she made her official baby bump debut on the People's Choice Awards 2012 red carpet.

When we asked father-of-two about what it takes to be a good parent, he told us:

“Just keep your kids out of the press, man.”

“It’s not about your kids,” Lawrence told Hollysccop, about dealing with the pressures under the spotlight. And no, his tykes didn’t accompany him to the People’s Choice Awards.

“My kids are at home playing and their with their mom and my mom, having a good time, and they don’t know anything about this,” Joey continued. “The more I can keep them from that, the better, until they’re old enough to understand it.”

Lawrence shared another tip with Hollyscoop: “We are raising our kids ourselves, there’s no nannies….I think that’s really important. That’s how I was raised; I got a great relationship with my folks, and I knew my boundaries early on.”

Joey continued: “Parenting is one of the most difficult but most rewarding jobs you could do, and it’s not something you can dial in at any point in time. It’s 24/7, 365 days a year for the rest of your life.”

Britney Spears also recently had some advice to give Beyonce and Jay:

“Just embrace it fully,” Spears said. “Treasure the moments.”

And fellow singer Jennifer Hudson said: “Girl, get your sleep!”
