How Beyonce\'s Pregnancy Will Affect Her Upcoming Movie

It hasn’t even been twenty-four hours since Beyonce announced her pregnancy, and we’re already worried about her career.

Not that there’s anything to worry about. She’s pretty much already done it all. But the singer had an upcoming starring role in the Clint Eastwood-directed flick, A Star Is Born. And the title couldn't be any more appropriate unless it was Beyonce Is Having a Baby.

The movie is a remake of the original musical and was set to start shooting in February 2012. It will be Beyonce’s debut as lead in a movie. And with all of her career highlights, the only thing she has left to do is scoop up an Oscar.

The good news is, Beyonce still has her role. But now that Beyonce has announced she’s a mom-to-be, the studio might be pushing the flick back. According to Deadline, changing the dates will also give Eastwood time to find a leading man. He reportedly wants Leonardo Dicaprio, but a few other names have been thrown into the mix, including Will Smith and Jay-Z.

That’s better news than Hilary Duff got when she announced her pregnancy a week ago. For years, Duff was in talks to star in the remake of Bonnie and Clyde, and finally, it was all set to start shooting. But when Duff announced her pregnancy, she was dropped from the film and given $100,000 in compensation.

So why didn’t it work out for Hilary Duff? Oh right, she’s not Beyonce. When asked about what happened with the movie, Duff responded: “I don’t want to give them any more press than they’ve gotten off of me.”

It could be argued that it’s the other way around. I haven’t really heard anything about Hilary Duff in the past few years aside from this baby news and her pissing off Faye Dunaway, the original Bonnie, by calling her ugly.

“I think my baby is a little more exciting,” Duff added.

But back to Beyonce. The singer recently said she wanted to have kids by the time she was thirty.

“Now I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children,” she said.

"I want a whole bunch of kids — but after I’ve got certain things out of my system first," Beyonce added.

In an interview with Piers Morgan, she said of becoming a mother: “I’m so looking forward to it.”

So are we, Beyonce. So are we!
