Beyonce's Been Lying About Her Age?

The last few weeks we had been hearing rumors that Beyonce Knowles has been lying about her age. The rumors stated that the pop singer is not 26 years old but she’s actually 32…6 years older than the age she protested! Well now Mediatakeout.com has acquired the birth certificate from someone who claims to work for the Texas Department of Health. The paper faxed over appears to be Beyonce's official birth records. The document (a portion of which is above) shows that a Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born to a Mathew Knowles and Celestine Ann Beyonce on September 4th, 1974.

Beyonce's official biography claims that she was born on September 4th, 1981. It also claims that her mother’s maiden name is "Beyince", and not "Beyonce" as the document shows. At this point there is no official statement from Beyonce's camp.

UPDATE: TMZ has learned that the authenticity of that document could not be confirmed. The document wasn't "an official birth record, and that 1974 is definitely not Beyoncé's b-day".

there is no truth to this, now there are ?'s rather or not Beyonce is her true name because the father did change Solanges' name once she got into the business. Plus on Young, Black, and Fabulous blog (you can find link on tmz.com) had once showed a pic of her passport with dob on it and you know you can not get passport without the correct info...especially in today's time!

yes that is true but in this case, that isn't even the case. you can tell from the old photos and the band members that she isn't 32. People don't buy into the hype. Plus if this was so where people "buys" their age like you are implying, JLO who has more money than Beyonce, would had done it a long time ago instead of just hiding her age.

my grandma changed her age when she moved to this country so it is very possible. her passport showed the age she wanted it to show so i do believe this. its the birth certificate you cant hide.

But to reflect on the obvious, you will not hear from her camp because this doesn't phase her and another error that was reported, she isn't saying she's 26 and using 1981 as bday yr would make her 25....

FIRST OF ALL, she was born in 1981. so she just turned 25. if that what is the age she claims to be. get your story right! next is, so what if she's 32. she still look good!

This can't be true from all the footage of her, solange, kelly, and the other members of the group that started with them. Then there's the footage of them on Star Search. Beyonce would have looked bigger and older then she did if she really was 6 years older.

And Susan has a great point......I'm sure we've all seen THS or Driven....There was SOO much footage of them growing up together and all that. So I think its a lil hard to believe. BUT....I never thought Ciara was a hermaphrodite......... So...Who knows?

Anything possible. My hairdresser told me about 2 weeks ago that she went on veromi.net and saw Beyonce true age. She said it said that Beyonce was in her 30's.

Of Course she is lying about her age..she seems to be past 25..I beleive that she is in her early 30's.. Nothing to really stress aobut though...all celebrities lie about their age...and as for Amerie she will be turning 29 in January. She isn't 25 as she claims. I went to undergrad with her and I know this for a FACT!

i went to high school with beyonce in texas (and i'm 24), so unless her and her family have been cooking up this lie since WAY before she was famous, this story is totally absurd...i'm not sure why anyone would go to all the trouble of making fake documents and whatnot, but they need to get a life!

Beyonce did lied!!! My cousin have a tape Star Search with Ed Mcmahon as the host in the early 80s. Beyonce is on there and she was about 15 years old at the time. She was in a singing group with the 80's hairstyles an clothes. Ed Mcmahon interview them and when the show first begin they mention the year. My cousin tried downloadng it to youtube and other websites but for some reason it always get erase. Hmmm I wonder why!!!

Well, I honestly believe that she is in her thirties, sice ALL stars lie about their ages anyway. Maybe it's the makeup that makes her look old or her genes. Because I have sister that are from the age of 25-29 and they don't look that old.

miss thang I am in the industry and it is a known fact that celebs do lie about their age all the time. Pictures/videos showing celebs as children are altered to make you think that they are the age that they are telling the public. The reason for the lie? To appear young, youthful for record and movie sales etc. It is the same reason why a few indusry women have children and are not willing to admit it to the public.
