In case you haven’t figured it out, you should make helping your fellow human being a priority everyday. But if you have a slew of bad karma ridden excuses as to why you just don’t have the time for that, definitely focus on doing good August 19.
World Humanitarian Day is dedicated to “those who face danger and adversity to help others.”
“We honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and we pay tribute to those who continue to help people around the world, regardless of who they are and where they are.
Every day we see and hear images and stories of pain and suffering in our own neighborhoods and in countries far away. But we also find acts of kindness, great and small. World Humanitarian Day is a global celebration of people helping people.”
She and songwriter Diane Warren are planning to donate a video of "I Was Here" that will be filmed in the UN General Assembly Hall in New York in front of a live audience.
And then it will premiere August 19th hopefully helping the campaign reach 1 billion people, inspiring them to get involved with making our world a better place.
Beyonce said in a statement that World Humanitarian Day is a chance to work together and "this is our time to leave our mark on the world."
That’s something worth singing about.
