Imagine being a tourist in a museum in Austria, and seeing Beyonce there! Well that’s what happened at The Albertina Museum in Vienna.
They had gotten a call earlier this week from a man claiming to be her manager, saying Beyonce, who is in the city at the moment, would be on her way over that day.
Little did the museum manager know, it was all part of a prank a local radio station was playing on them. Thirty minutes later, a stretch limo arrived and a woman wearing Beyonce-eque sunglasses stepped out surrounded by five bodyguards.
Museum officials insist they were immediately skeptical. The museum press officer Verena Dahlitz says, "She was too thin for Beyoncé. I thought she had probably lost weight."
Hope Beyonce doesn’t get wind of that comment! Still, though, someone must have bought it, because the imposter got a full VIP tour, while dozens of fans gathered outside to get a glimpse of her.
Dahlitz says, "We were fooled. We must be the most important museum in Vienna because they chose us."
The radio station was a little late on April Fools!
