It turns out when Beyoncé belts “I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly” that isn’t a reverse invitation to, in fact, be ready for said jelly.
It’s really an order to remain un-ready for this jelly and not slap it like this one brave fan did during her most recent concert.
The scene of the crime: Copenhagen, when during her performance of “Irreplaceable,” Beyoncé took to the catwalk to interact with her audience, making to the left, to the left call and responses with her fans.
That’s when one bee from the Beyhive went rogue and took it a rebellious step further—to the left, to the left…butt cheek—by reaching up into the ether and slapping Beyoncé’s booty.
The crowd cheered, but Beyoncé had the last word, pointing down at the guy who did the slapping, saying, “I will have you escorted out right now, all right?”
In other words, that guy better relish the memories of the last tangible object that hand touched in this terrestrial world because it’s “an eye for an eye, a left hand for touching the Queen's behind” in the Kingdom of Bey, but she made an exception to this ancient moral code and let him stay.
In a video aptly titled “The stupid guy that slapped Beyoncé,” you can watch the stupid guy slap Beyoncé.
