I don’t know how old she should be, but I can’t believe Beyonce is still in her twenties. She looks every bit the twenty-nine year old she is, but it seems like I was listening to Destiny’s Child in grade school. The woman has owned the music industry for the past decade.
In an interview on Piers Morgan Tonight, Beyonce talks about turning thirty. And for some reason, instead of the usual newsroom desk, Piers and Beyonce appear to be having dinner and a candlelit restaurant, making it look like the most awkward date of all time.
“You’re pretending to be very, very thrilled about [turning 30]. Are you?” Morgan asks the singer.
“I am absolutely serious. I can’t wait. Because 29 is very strange,” Beyonce explains. “I feel like 30 is the ideal age because you're mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards and not be afraid of [being] too polite. But you're young enough to be a young woman, and I'm so looking forward to it.”
Beyonce added that she always thought she’d have a baby and be retired by thirty. “I’m not retiring, I’ll tell you that.”
When asked if she and husband Jay-Z plan on having a baby in the near future, Beyonce said, “only God knows.”
