We’ve all been wondering how long Betty White can continue to stay on top of her game. Now we have the definitive answer – forever!
Betty, who proclaimed herself “the luckiest old broad on two feet,” was finally honored with a replica in wax at the Madame Tussauds Hollywood.
At the unveiling on Monday, Betty was enthusiastic about the statue and how she feels it will carry her legacy on into perpetuity, “I’m 90 years old for heaven sake, you’ve been trying to get rid of me for decades, and it hasn’t happened yet, and now it never will."
Lay it down Betty.
As hot (in Cleveland) as Betty's career has been lately, when asked what man really makes her swoon, “I answer Robert Redford to everything first, of course… Oh, I think George Clooney. I think that’s about it,” she says with gusto.
Two’s enough for a woman her age, right?
Back to the wax, Betty seemed to be genuinely taken aback by the likeness of her carved self as the two stood side by side in matching hot pink ensembles.
But she did have a bit of a quip that raised a valid point, “Why did they wait to do this until I was 90? A few decades ago would have been swell.”
She’s not asking for a lot here people, maybe just someone to have noticed what a badass the Golden Girl was in her 70’s, which was only about 40 something years into her impressive career.
Alas, better late than never. Right, Betty?
The season finale of Hot in Cleveland, with guest stars David Spade and Regis Philbin will air this Wednesday at 10 PM on TV Land.
