Benji Madden Is Over-Protective Of Harlow

From punk rocker, to over-protective uncle! Benji Madden, uncle to little Harlow, is already showing signs of being nervous about his niece’s inevitable dating future, even though she’s only a year old.

He’s even planning on keeping a shotgun nearby to scare off any possible suitors. Talk about hard core!

Benji tells People.com, "I’m going to be keeping a close eye on her. I’ll leave the shotgun right by the door."

He also talked about brother Joel and Nicole’s parenting skills. He said, "When they had her, their instincts just kind of came out, and it’s amazing to see. They just really put their child above everything. Joel is such a great dad and Nicole is the best mom I’ve ever seen. Joel is all about showing up. His main concern in life is protecting and caring for his family."

It’s so sweet to see how nice and grounded the Madden brothers continue to be, and that deep down, they’re just a couple of family guys!

It sounds like Benji wouldn’t mind settling down pretty soon as well. Too bad it didn’t work out with him and Paris, but could you really see her as the mother of his child? Scary thought!
