Remember that scene in Good Will Hunting when Matt Damon is talking about never wanting to leave Boston so that he and BFF Ben Affleck can live on the same block, have some BBQ’s, and take their kids to Red Sox games together?
He totally wasn’t kidding. Damon reportedly just bought a mansion down the street from Affleck and his family in Pacific Palisades, CA.
Celebitchy has the details about the In Touch article from the forthcoming July 9 issue.
The two grew up a few blocks apart in Massachusetts, moved to Los Angeles together, and were even roommates. Then, you know, they wrote the aforementioned Oscar winning script, and have gone on to crazy successful Hollywood careers.
Matt has been calling New York City his home base, and though he is keeping his place there, he’s ready for more space and more bro-time.
And what do these two do between play dates and BBQ’s? They make movies! Next up, they are working on a biopic of Whitey Bulger, a Bean Town Mobster. They are both going to star in it, naturally.
Damon is a stepfather to one daughter, and has three others with wife Luciana Bozán Barroso. Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner have two daughters and a newborn son.
This is so totally perfect, and ridiculously cute!
The only thing that’s missing is Fenway Park but I’m sure the Boston Red Sox will come to town to play.
