Well this is awkward…
If the violent outrage by “Argo” fans throughout the Internet this week wasn’t enough to convince the Academy that they had made a serious mistake with this year’s Oscar nominations, this move by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association surely will.
Ben Affleck, the man that people have been saying since Thursday was snubbed in the category of directing with this year’s Oscar Nominations, has won the Golden Globe award… for the same movie, and the same freakin’ category…
This is Ben’s second Golden Globe win (he also won for 1998’s “Good Will Hunting”) and fourth ever nomination.
Here’s a look at the full category and nominees:
BEST DIRECTOR
Ben Affleck, "Argo"
Kathryn Bigelow, "Zero Dark Thirty"
Ang Lee, "Life of Pi
Steven Spielberg, "Lincoln"
Quentin Tarantino, "Django Unchained"
