Mischa Barton may be employed again! Word on the street is that her

The Beautiful Life, which was canceled after just two episodes, is getting resurrected by the CW network.

The show’s Facebook page made the first announcement on Sunday, writing, “We have somewhat good news. The CW will plan 2 air the remaining episodes of The Beautiful Life [this summer]. The bad news is there is still no plans of renewing The Beautiful Life. But that might change during the months, or this year.”

CW spokesman Paul McGuire commented on the news, saying, “The status of unaired episodes has yet to be determined.” It seems like a buzz kill if the unaired episodes are shown, and the show doesn’t get picked back up. It’ll just give the cast false hope! Weigh in below! Did you like The Beautiful Life? Should it come back on the CW?
Good thing The Beautiful Life got canceled, because apparently Mischa Barton is over doing television! In a new interview with People, the actress says she wants to concentrate on doing film for awhile. And we can’t help but recall that film was the reason behind her abrupt exit from the O.C.

Mischa Barton says, "I think I need to back away from the whole TV approach. That whole world of network television, probably isn't, for me, a good idea now. I need to start reading for more serious roles.”

And that doesn’t mean she’ll take anything that comes her way. Mischa says she’s "passing on all the [early] offers, because that's not the stuff you want to do. I want to go fight for interesting things and look for something that's going to be interesting for me... as a role."

It’s been a bumpy road for Mischa the past couple of months, especially after her 5150 hold that she claims was all because of a botched wisdom tooth surgery. "I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom and get the most stressed out just to feel better again. I got completely stressed out and couldn't handle everything, and now I feel really in control.”

For now, Mischa is just concentrating on the physical by dedicating her time to working out. "Now that I'm not doing the TV show, I've got lots of time to work out," she says. For more on Mischa, and to see pictures of through the years, check out Popeater.
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
Mischa Barton’s current hospitalization has thrown a wrench in the production schedule of her new show for the CW, The Beautiful Life.

Since Mischa is being held at a psych ward, there’s no guarantee on when she will be released. That’s made the show executives go into crisis mode!

According to EW, producers have decided to create a new character on the show named Jane. The idea is that this new character will fill the void left by Mischa.

This isn’t a re-cast, but just an added character to distract from the fact that the show’s leading lady is currently MIA.

See what drugs and alcohol can do to a career? It’s not cute anymore to be known as a party girl in the industry, and we hope this really makes Mischa wake up once and for all.

Mischa Barton is going through a really rough time right now. And as a result of her alleged partying ways, she’s landed herself in the hospital, and not at work.

Mischa hadn’t had a real job in quite some time, but things seemed to have been looking up since she was cast as the lead in a CW show called Beautiful Life. So you’d think Mischa would be attempting to get it together!

And now as a result of her recent incident, production on the series has been postponed. Shooting was scheduled to begin on July 22nd, but will now reportedly start the 31st.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the reason for the delay is because sets didn’t arrive on time. But we can’t help but believe that it has something to do with the fact that the star of the show won’t be around for the first week of shooting.

Not exactly the best foot to start off on! Ashton Kutcher (the executive producer of the show) is probably kicking himself over casting Mischa in the role.

We hope for her sake, and for the sake of the production, that she pulls it together.
