Barbara Walters: Us White Folk Will Take Care Of You

Barbara Walters
Babs, enter foot in mouth. John McCain appeared on "The View" this morning and things got a little bit awkward to say the least.

Whoopie Goldberg and Johnny were having a nice little convo about the Constitution and "Roe v. Wade" when Barbara Walters butted into the mix.

Whoopie became concerned with what McCain was saying about interpreting the Constitution the way it was written by the Founding Fathers, and asked him if that meant slavery might make a comeback.

Click here to watch Barbara's response. Has Barbara lost her marbles?

Babs is really losing it. I say boycott the show and don't watch it. I am sick of her and Joy telling me who I should like and not like in this campaign. They treat the Republicans different. When Mrs. Obama was on there all the did was fawn all over her... It made me sick. Then Mrs. McCain came on and they all both had this dirty look on their faces (Babs and Joy) and it was embarassing. All women should be pissed at this. They are telling us that we are too stupid to make up our own minds and they need to do it for us. I do not care if a candidate is black or purple, young or old, I want what is best for my son who is a Marine, and also loves his cuntry and joined to keep you safe. Respect that!

Mary, I completely agree! I think Whoopi is the worst though. Her comment was ridiculous and out of context. The media (The View included) treats Obama like a superstar and McCain with disdain. Boo on the View!

I am amazed at the "vote for me you idiot" syndrome the presidential race has come to. The media is running Palin against Obama and John McCain has nothing to say unless it it to take info out of context. I sincerely hope the voters of this country can see that we are so shallow in our thinking - emotional biases are the play for the day. By the way take a look at the front page pictures of John and Sarah in USAT 9/6 & 9/7. Compare and see first hand for yourself. The Pic Tell a lot!!!!!!!! and

I'm sick of the racism in this campaign. Obama and his supporters can say whaterver they want and the rest of us are supposed to agree.Like Whoopi and jeremiah Wright, If you don't support Obama you are a racist, I don't support him and I'm not racist I'm so scared for America if this guy gets elected. Look past his color and look at his character..or lack of one.

Barbara Walters and all the rest of the women on The View are idiots and it is the most annoying show on televison. I am a woman and I can't stand to listen to those screaming banshees more than 5 minutes. I also wonder how many houses Barbara Walters has? She probably has enough money to buy as many as the McCains, but makes a stupid comment about it on her interview - as if it really makes a difference that someone has money.

I agree. I thought it was rude behavior asking about the homes. Next she'll be asking about their net worth and his salary! I thought his wife handled it with class. She kindly rejected the question, making Barb look like an even bigger asshole. She made it perfectly clear that her "family" lives a comfortable lifestyle. What a bunch of hypocrites sitting on that stage, like Whoopi & Barbara don't have more than one home. Like the Clinton's and Bush don't have more than one home. What does it matter? She was being nosey and that's the bottom line. Obama sits on the view and they all act flirtatious like they're in heat and want to screw him - with barbara telling him he's sexy! McCain comes on and they try and humiliate him before they nail him to the cross! All the liberal idiots in hollywood forget how to act professional when interviewing someone they don't agree with - that includes Ellen!

Barbara and her co horts have shown that they only care about themselves. As for truth, humur and balacned reporting forget it from that source. Even humor which should make you smile is now so raunchy that it no longer entertains! Drunk, sloppy so called comediams do not entertain. If you want good comedy go back to the earlyn comics like Bill Cosby. Too bad, the young Barbara showed so much promise.

It was a great live tv moment. Whoopie was way out of place with her comments but Babs was so over the top it was great! All Sherry could do was put her head in her hands and shake it no, no, no. Barbara was SO rude to mcCain. I'm a democrat and I thought it was disrepectful the way he was treated. But, it was great live tv and at least it wasn't bland like Leno.
