Obama's Speech Gets Huge Ratings

We had a feeling this would happen. Barack Obama's speech last night was awesome in the ratings. 38.4 million tuned into watch the Democratic National Convention.

It topped last year's Oscars, which reached 32 million, every night of this year's Olympics which reached 34.9, and it even topped the Idol finale, which reached 31.7 million.

Now let's hope that theory about more people voting for the next Idol than the next President is squashed this year too! Cuz these numbers look good!

How good was Obama's speech? It was so good that McCain reacted by selecting Sarah Palin for his vice president running mate. If he wasn't desperate, he would have made a safe choice. After seeing the speech he had to make some type of move to add some "wow" to a dead campaign.

'gerard Vandenberg', please, where did you get that idea from?? Why, is it because he is black?? You must have put 2 and 2 together and got 5....write a realistic and worthwhile comment next time!!! Oh and Hollyscoop...some of the viewers could have been republicans, who have no intention to vote for Obama, but watched the conference to see what they're up against!!!!! It was a great speech. I am a huge supporter of Hillary and was undecided whether I was voting for Obama or McCain after Hillary lost. After Obama's speech then McCain picking Palin the next morning it decided me on Obama. I not only find it insulting that McCain thinks he can put some unknown inexperienced woman in as VP and think us Hillary supporters will vote for him because he put a woman on the ticket but what if something happens to him should he win and she becomes the President. This is not Hillary Clinton and she stands for nothing Hillary stands for other then womans rights.

His speech was bogus and full of impossible promises like any other politician. Actually, it was worse... and susan, he or hilary don't really care for women's rights, if they did, they would be wanting to pass pro abortion laws, because in the end women actually do get hurt.

'Susan', If Hillary lost, the next logical step should automatically be Obama.. Hillary supporters are dumb.. Hillary and Obama have almost the same ideas to make the US better.. Palin is a Conservative Republican who is 100% completely against all the things Hillary stands for.. So how is it Hillary fans are backing McCain/Palin now? It just doesn't make sense. BTW Susan, this wasnt directed at you, Im just saying, those Hillary fans supporting Palin are dumb, because both stand for different things on each issue. Just goes to show you women will only vote with their hearts not with their minds.
