Obama Puts His Campaign On Hold

October 21, 2008

Democratic candidate Barack Obama has announced that he will be leaving his campaign trail for two days to tend to his sick grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, 85, in Hawaii.

"Senator Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has always been one of the most important people in his life. Along with his mother and his grandfather, she raised him in Hawaii from the time he was born until the moment he left for college. As he said at the Democratic Convention, she poured everything she had into him," according to his spokesperson.

The campaign for the presidency should be back on schedule by Saturday. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to the Obama family.
