Watch out, 72 virgins! Last night President Obama announced that, after years of pursuit, Osama bin Laden has been caught and killed. So now the President can focus on the really important issues, like his ongoing feud with Donald Trump.
Obama slammed Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents dinner, joking that he was a conspiracy theorist who should work on trying to find whatever happened to “Biggie and Tupac”. He then patronized The Donald about his decision to fire Gary Busey in a recent episode of the Celebrity Apprentice. Who knew Obama was so funny?
Then, only a day later, the President announced to the world that the U.S. had captured Osama bin Laden, and his speech pre-empted the Celebrity Apprentice. I was a little disappointed that Obama didn’t make a joke about Trump’s hair, but this makes up for it.
So what did Osama bin Laden’s death mean for Americans? Time for a status update, of course! Along with the rest of us, Celebrities took to Facebook and Twitter to express their patriotism. And yes, even The Donald took the time to congratulate the President and U.S. troops.
Trump tweeted: “I want to personally congratulate President Obama and the men and women of the Armed Forces for a job very well done. I am so proud to see Americans standing shoulder to shoulder, waving the American flag in celebration of this great victory.”
So how long before Trump asks for Osama’s death certificate?
