One of the many highlights of President Barack Obama's inauguration was listening to Beyonce sing "At Last" during Barack and Michelle's first dance.

Watching Beyonce sing her heart out to Etta James' hit song was not only heartwarming, but also very emotional.

Speaking of the historical event, Beyonce admits she had to hold back tears as it was "the most important day of my life, and I'm so grateful."

She tells Good Morning America, "I can't even describe to you how I felt. I'm actually right now fighting back tears because it's just so emotional. I'm just so proud of my country. This man was born for this. And he was born to lead us, and I just feel so inspired and so proud.

"I'm sorry, I'm so embarrassed. I'm just so lucky to be a part of this history. It's probably the most important day of my life, and I'm so grateful."

Beyonce, who supported Obama throughout his campaign, admits that she only recently became interested in politics.

She adds, "Honestly, of course, I've voted before, but I've never really watched the ceremonies. This is my first time being a part of it, and I'm here, and I'm singing ... I'm so overwhelmed, you know. I have chills. He makes me want to be smarter; he makes me want to be more involved."

We were overwhelmed with emotion just watching her sing to the President and the First Lady, so we can only imagine how she felt. Overall, Beyonce's performance was one of the best moments from the Neighborhood Ball. What did you think of it?

OK! Stop! Enough is enough! Beyonce is a beautiful woman, she's very talented and this is her season. She is not over reacting by getting emotional about the inauguration!! Everyone responds differently. It all depends on what it means to you. All of you that has negative things to say about this girl- this event obviously means nothing to you because you still haven't learned and you still choose to HATE on the sista!!! AIM HIGHER & DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE!! SHE'S DOING HER THANG & SHE'S DOIN IT WELL!!!!!!!

A little too much for me. I think her song is fantastic, but the overwhemling emotion was a tad too much to be believed-like her career in film, she is just too much. Stick to using that wonderful voice.
