Ben and Jen were in Boston over the weekend to host a fundraiser party for Barack Obama. The event was held in the Theater District and was sold out. Affleck's ties to Obama go back to 2004 when the two met at the Democratic National Convention in Boston.
The plates for the fundraiser ran $1500 each, and included Senator John Kerry. Although Ben told Bill O'Reilly on his show that he wasn't a "Democratic party guy," the Affleck’s have donated several thousand to Obama's campaign this year. Ben does say his support for Barack has increased since meeting the candidate.
