Tom Hanks has officially announced his endorsement for Barack Obama via Myspace. In his homemade video, Hanks says, "I'm Tom Hanks and I want Barack Obama to be the next President of our country." He then jokes, "As an official celebrity, I know my endorsement has just made your mind up for you." Seems like almost every real celeb has already claimed a side. Barack Obama appeared via satellite on David Letterman last night to read the top ten list, whose topic was "Surprising Facts About Barack Obama." Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain are hitting every possible demographic to get more votes, and their latest venture is tackling the world of wrestling. The three appeared on a promo before a WWE match saying why they're the best candidate for the job. It's funny to see them each lighten up a little and so something like this, but would be even better is to see them fight it out in the ring!

Matt Damon has announced he'll be one of the celebrity judges for MoveOn.org's Obama In 30 Seconds ad contest. The contest allows Barack Obama supporters to create thirty second advertisments to explain why they back Obama's candidacy for president. The winning spot will be broadcast on national television. Other judges include Ben Affleck, John Legend, Oliver Stone, Moby, and the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Ben and Jen were in Boston over the weekend to host a fundraiser party for Barack Obama. The event was held in the Theater District and was sold out. Affleck's ties to Obama go back to 2004 when the two met at the Democratic National Convention in Boston. The plates for the fundraiser ran $1500 each, and included Senator John Kerry.
