After announcing she was leaving TV to start a family in February 2011, Jillian Michaels is finally “swimming in babies.”
People magazine has the story, and some really adorable photos, on how Michael’s family went from a party of two to four in a matter of days. After an adoption process that spanned several years, Michaels was finally able to bring her daughter Lukensia, now two years old, home from Haiti. That very same week, her partner Heidi Rhoades gave birth to the couples son, Phoenix.
If anyone is in the physical shape that two kids will surely demand, its Michaels—who is hyper-focused on her new routine, “I don’t even answer email. I don’t have time to care about anything else.” And she’s loving every minute of her new life, “I want to be really present and enjoy all the nuances of their growth and development. I don’t want to rush any of it.”
Michaels, 38, has previously stated that she had no preference on being a mother to a son or daughter, “Do you hear the clock? It doesn’t matter!” she explains. “As long as there’s a little teeny person with me, I’ll be good.”
With one of each, the physical fitness overachiever is now “good,” times two. Congratulations Jillian!
