Jewel Desperate For A Baby

Back when Jewel was a swingin single, she never seemed to be a big fan of marriage and/or babies. That's why Jewel completely shocked her fans when she and her boyfriend Ty Murray eloped to the Bahamas over the summer.

Most people weren't aware that the two were even engaged when the news hit. She's singing a different tune now and sources tell OK! magazine that the new bride is simply itching to become a mother.

"Jewel and Ty are desperately trying to have a baby right now. She told her team to clear her schedule for 2009 because they are planning for a baby. She wants to also release a lullaby record next year because she has such baby fever."

We think Jewel would make an awesome mom and we wish them both lots of luck.
