We are only a day away for the biggest night in television the 25th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The show will be hosted by Conan O'Brien and we hear there will be some funny surprises. Conan tells People magazine I'm gonna wear very, very tight trousers, like matador pants. That's gonna do a lot for women and a third of the men watching.
Meanwhile there is some drama in regards to the “Spelling Tribute” which will take place at the Emmys. At first there were reports that Tori Spelling’s mother Candy tried to have her daughter banned from this year’s ceremony. Today Us Weekly is reporting that the actress is indeed attending the Emmys. A friend of Tori’s said that the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which runs the Emmys, succumbed to the media pressure to invite Tori on Thursday. “She is thrilled to be included. She and Dean will walk the red carpet together.” According to the friend, none of the Spelling family will appear onstage for the Aaron Spelling tribute. “Tori feels vindicated. It is the right thing for [the Academy] to do,” a source close to the actress adds. “She is happy to be there to honor her father.”
Speaking of Emmys who will take it home? Although FOX's 24 is up for more awards (12 in total), ABC's 11-times-nominated medical drama Grey's Anatomy is favored to win best dramatic series. NBC will broadcast the ceremony live Sunday starting at 8 p.m. ET.
