As always Hollyscoop is bringing you the hottest trends from the red carpet. We have tallied up our votes to the top four hottest trends that will set the fashion world for the coming months.

The first trend is the color that reigned the red carpet; purple. TV star Leah Rimini stepped out in a purple Versace gown with subtle sparkles, Evangeline lily wore a purple Versace gown as well, only hers had crisscross pleats all over. Cheryl Hines also sported the color in her Chakra gown and Ellen Pompeo wore a strapless bustier style type, velvet gown designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior.

The second trend is the Hair do. It was all about soft sexy piled high hair do’s. Although Ellen Pompeo looked amazing, her half up half down hair do didn’t match her outfit. Paula Abdul got the hairstyle right; unfortunately it didn’t work well on her. The look is all about being simple yet chic. Speaking of simplicity, the accessories were very minimal on the carpet. It was all about the extravagant earrings, cuff bracelets and bare necks. Heidi Klum was a prime example of this look. Sandra Oh decided to add some flare to her Vera Wang lavender gown. The problem was the dress was feminine and her jewelry was funky. There were too many layers and mixing of gold’s with silver. The last trend of the night was the low cut back gowns as seen on Portia de Rossi, Cheryl Hines and Katherine Heigl. It seemed as if there was less legs showing and more back cleavage. That’s the trend report from the 58th Annual Prime-Time Emmys.
