Now that the WGA strike is over, everyone is getting hyped up about award shows again. Yesterday Hollyscoop was at the 2008 NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles. The event honors projects and individuals that promote diversity in the arts in television, recording, literature and motion pictures. The NAACP encourages everyone to be socially conscious and take a stand on critical human and civil rights issues. Check out our video below.

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama just won the "Best Spoken Word Album" at the 2008 Grammy Awards. He won for his audio version of his book "The Audacity Of Hope: Thoughts On Reclaiming The American Dream." The category has nothing to do with music, but it is Senator Obama's second Grammy in the same category. Hillary Clinton won the same award in 1997 for "It Takes a Village."
