It’s the Emmys where “Modern Family” doesn’t sweep every category.

The Daytime Emmys pay homage to morning shows, Regis Philbin and soap operas. It’s like the earnest kid sister to the Primetime Emmys, or as I like to call them, the “real” Emmys.

Long-standing quiz show “Jeopardy!” took home the award for best game show. Unfortunately, the show’s host Alex Trebek suffered a heart attack over the weekend. Thankfully, Mr. Trebek is doing just fine.

“General Hospital” took home five awards, solidifying its place as the top daytime soap.

“Live With Regis and Kelly” won for best entertainment talk show and both Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa were named best talk-show host, despite Regis leaving the show last November. Kelly has yet to name a new co-host.

“Dr. Oz” took home the award for most informative talk show, which makes sense since nearly everything sold at health food stores has a sign posted that reads, “As seen on Dr. Oz.”
