2011 Emmy Awards Surprise Nominations and Snubs
The 64th Annual Primetime Emmy nominations were announced today and there were definitely a few surprise nods and some snubs.

‘Mike & Molly’ star Melissa McCarthy was just as surprised as the rest of us to hear her name called for Outstanding Actress in a comedy. She could barely breathe and had to continue to announce the rest of the nominations.

Kyra Sedgwick was snubbed and didn’t even get a nomination for ‘The Closer’. She gets nominated almost every year because she really does do a fantastic job on the show, but I guess you can’t get the nod every year.

‘Modern Family’ and ‘Glee’ didn’t get any lead acting nominations and instead Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara got outstanding supporting actress nominations.

The miniseries ‘The Kennedys’ got bashed by critics, so it was surprising hearing them get four nominations: best drama, best actors Greg Kinnear and Barry Pepper and best supporting actor Tom Wilkinson.

Heidi Klum got snubbed and didn’t get a nod for ‘Project Runway’ and ‘So You Think You Can Dance Host’ Cat Deeley got a nod instead in addition to the usual suspects: American Idol and its host Ryan Seacrest, The Amazing Race with Phil Keoghan, Dancing With the Stars with Tom Bergeron and Top Chef.

Not surprisingly AMC's '60s drama about advertising, Mad Men, led the nominations, with 19 and Game of Thrones received 13.

Who are you surprised got a nomination or a snub?
