It was a star studded night this past weekend as nominees and industry favorites all showed up for the Critics Choice Awards. The 12th annual Critics Choice Awards took place live at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Friday, January 12, 2007.

200 film critics make up the Broadcast Film Critics Association, the largest film critics organization in the U.S. and Canada. Hollyscoop was at the Critics Choice Awards so be prepared for some awesome webcasts of the Style Lounge and backstage.

Leonardo DiCaprio led the nominees with a two nods for best actor for his performances in "Blood Diamond" and "The Departed", leading to speculation that Leo has finally come into his own this year with a definite shot at the Oscars in February. Sadly, we were let down when he didn't win the Critics Choice Award.
