Viewers Turned to EXTRA for Golden Globes Coverage

EXTRA dominated the air waves Monday night when viewers tuned into the hit show for their one-of-a-kind coverage of the Golden Globe Awards.

EXTRA’s coverage included bringing fans closer to the stars with its special Fan Cam; exclusive red-carpet and backstage celebrity interviews, including one with drama film best actor winner Mickey Rourke, Lopez's friendly Guitar Hero battles with winners; and the addition of fashion guru Lloyd Boston.

All this helped make EXTRA L.A.’s Golden Globe headquarters. The Golden Globe Awards are presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to recognize outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, both domestic and foreign.

Fun fact: The broadcast of the Golden Globes, which reaches more than 150 countries, is the third most watched award show each year, behind only the Oscars and the Grammy Awards.
