Awards season is creeping upon us, and that means plenty of red carpet appearances to look forward to in 2012. And it’s just been announced that Judy Greer and Regina King are the ladies who will announce the nominees for the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Greer, who stars opposite George Clooney in The Descendants, and King, from TNT’s series, Southland will do the honors on Wednesday, December 14. The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will air on Sunday, January 29.

The SAG Awards include five film and eight TV categories. King was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her work in Ray. She’s also appeared in Jerry Maguire, How Stella Got Her Groove Back and Higher Learning.
