Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. Turn Down Hosting Oscars
What’s with no one wanting to take center stage at this year’s Academy Awards?! Just last week, we heard Hugh Jackman was extended another invite to host the entertainment industry’s biggest night. And now two more actors have followed suit!

Both Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. have turned down the opportunity to emcee the Oscars this year. They were actually approached to do the gig as a duo.

Perhaps they’re scared about the ratings, since the outcome always gets pinned back on the host. And Hugh Jackman is one tough act to follow!

We think they Ben and Robert should have been the hosts last year, with the success of Tropic Thunder and all.

Roger Ebert seems to have a different theory. He Twittered today, “They have Lakers tickets: Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. turn down Oscar hosting gigs.”

Adam Shankman, who is producing, better put his thinking cap on and get someone for the job! Who do you want to host this year’s Oscars?
