Avril Lavigne Guest Judges American Idol

There’s a new celebrity sitting in the hot seat on American Idol! The latest to guest judge on the show is Avril Lavigne.

According to ET, Avril will join Simon, Kara, and Randy at the judges’ table on one of the final two days of auditions this week in Los Angeles.

Katy Perry will reportedly fill the chair on the other day of the LA auditions. How exciting!

We know Katy Perry will be a great addition to the table, but we’re not sure about Avril. She’s not exactly a role model when it comes to successful music careers!

To recap, the guest judges for season 9 are: Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, Kristin Chenoweth and Shania Twain.

Now we’ll just have to wait til January when Idol airs!
