Christmas may have come early for Disney, as their latest flick 'A Christmas Carol' dominated the box office this past weekend. But with the Twilight Saga: New Moon coming out next week, it better get used to life in second place.

Disney's A Christmas Carol brought in $31 million dollars opening weekend, while Michael Jackson's This Is It came in second place with $14 million. Rounding out the top three was The Men Who Stare at Goats, with $13.3 million.

Here are the top ten box office movies from the November 6-8 weekend:

1. Disney's A Christmas Carol: $31 million

5. Paranormal Activity: $8.6 million

Michael Jackson may have passed away in June, but his spirit is more alive now than ever before. The King of Pop was the King of the box office this weekend.

His movie may have only grossed $21 million in the states, but it has already grossed more than $101 million globally.

Rounding out the top three movies was Paranormal Activity with $16.5 million while Law Abiding Citizen came in with $7.3 million. Here are the top ten movies:

There must have been some unusual 'Paranormal Activity' at the box office this past weekend because the independent thriller made a killing in theaters. The movie, that only cost $15,000 to make, made over $22 million dollars and has already grossed over $62 million. That about a great return.

Thrillers were clearly a hit because 'Saw VI' came in at second with $14.8 million, while the family flick 'Where the Wild Things Are' rounded out the top three bringing in $14.4 million.
